Large scissors

Large scissors. It is very important that the child has strength and stability in their hand to use scissors. And a pincer grip. To improve control of hand movements, it is important that the child learns, for example, to tear paper or use modeling materials. They must be able to sit upright and maintain a functional posture. Cutting is a bilateral activity, requiring the use of both hands, which is why the dominant hand handles the scissors.

Using scissors helps develop motor, visual, sensory and cognitive coordination - to follow the lines or areas to be cut, and to turn the paper or other material at the same time. The child must be able to understand what is being asked, ignore outside stimuli and concentrate on the activity.
