Pegmatite : is a granular plutonic rock with a composition similar to that of granite.

Granite : is a crystalline rock consisting of potassium feldspar and quartz and which usually also has hornblende and mica as accessory minerals.

Syenite : is a plutonic magmatic rock composed of alkaline feldspar and accessory minerals such as hornblende and biotite.

Anorthosite : is an igneous rock composed almost entirely of feldspar (90-100%) and small quantities of quartz.

Gabbro : is a crystalline plutonic rock composed of plagioclase and small amounts of Augite.

Porphyritic rhyolite : contains large feldspar crystals in an apanitic mass of alkali feldspars and quartz.

Porphyritic trachyte: composed of potassium feldspar, plagioclase feldspar and accessory minerals such as hornblende.

Basalt : is an extrusive magmatic rock composed of plafioclase and pyroxene.

Rhyolite : is a colored rock composed of micro crystalline potassium feldspar, quartz and other accessory minerals.

Andesite : is a colored rock composed of plagioclase feldspar, hornblende, biotite and augite.

Tuff : formed by compacted volcanic fragments.

Obsidian : is a glassy volcanic rock formed from the rapid cooling of rhyolitic lava.

Pitchstone : is formed from the rapid cooling of rhyolitic lava and has a resinous appearance.

Pumice: is a volcanic rock with a rhyolitic composition, whose texture results from bubbles formed by released gases.

Scoria : is a dark rock of basaltic composition with a porous texture caused by released gases.
