This breakout board is designed to provide an easier way to connect additional circuitry and hardware to the connector on the edge of the BBC Micro:bit controller board. It provides an easy way to connect circuits using crocodile clip jumper wires.

In addition, this connection component provides access to a series of pins on the BBC Micro:bit processor, such as the IO (input/output) power interface, connection pins P0, P1, P2, P3, P12, P13, P14, P15, P16, P19, P20.
Two ways to supply energy
There are 2 types of power supply for the BBC breakout board and controller board:

Directly connect the charged battery case with adequate power to supply to the Micro:bit mainboard
Connect the 3V GND to the gold holes with the crocodile clips to supply the board with the necessary power.

The backplate also comes with 4 fixing holes on the edge, making it easy to mount any additional devices.

Usage example

Insert the micro:bit mainboard firmly into the breakout board and connect some micro:bit modules using the Alligator clip lines to complete the circuit design.
