The SR01 ultrasonic sensor is a module developed by Keyestudio that detects the distance between the ultrasonic sensor and a certain obstacle. This sensor has the CS100A chip, compatible with 3.3V and 5V.

Its maximum detection distance is 3 m and the minimum is less than 4 cm.
This ultrasonic module sends out high-frequency signals that the human body cannot hear that will travel back until they encounter the obstacle.

Upon receiving the returned information, it will calculate the time that this wave took between the sensor and the obstacle, thus determining its final distance.
