Learn how to promote your baby's harmonious development

On this international day of happiness, what we intend with this article is to fulfill a premise that we all know: “Your happiness is my happiness”.

Having a child is one of the most wonderful and memorable experiences a mother and father can have, not to mention the best of their lives. The happiness and well-being of a child is a priority for all parents, as is their full development.

The importance of play in your baby's development

Childhood is a period in which children must have space to play.

Play has a decisive influence on the cognitive, psychosocial and emotional development of babies. And parents have a fundamental role in promoting this continuous growth. In fact, the more quality time you spend with your children, the healthier and happier they will be. For this reason, these moments should be lived with great joy, by promoting games that allow the significant development not only of your baby, but also of the emotional bonds between you both.

Playing allows your baby to develop several skills, including imagination and creativity, but also independence and self-regulation of emotions. Playing allows for better self-awareness of their body and its limits, but also of the world around them.

Also, play:

– Stimulates attention;

– Develops thinking and reasoning;

– Teaches you how to deal with frustration and adapt to circumstances, becoming more resilient to difficulties;

– Increases the ability to relate and interact with others;

– Develops expression and communication;

– Arouses curiosity.

As a way of celebrating this International Day of Happiness and honoring the parents who contribute to the happiness of their children, we present a poem by Fernando Pessoa dedicated to children.

When children play

And I hear them play,

Anything in my soul

Start to rejoice.

And all that childhood

That I didn't have comes to me,

In a wave of joy

That didn't belong to anyone.

If who I was is an enigma,

And who will I be vision,

Who I am at least feel

This in the heart.
